Any good drawing pens for 5- £10?
For GCSE I am taking a product design course, which obviously involves a lot of technical drawing, my drawings are fairly good, however they are all in pencil so they fail to stand out a bit, I have used colours but it weakens the pencil lines slightly I feel so I was thinking of purchasing some graphic/ technical drawing pens. But because I have never tried them before I don't want to start by spending a fortune and then find out that I can't draw with them! So I was wondering if anybody knew of some good drawing pens which are priced between 5-10 pound. I might be able to spend 15 but certainly n more than that because I don't have much money at the moment.
I have heard about Staedtler Triplus fineliner pens and have found that you can buy packs of 20 for around £10. But I don't know if they are any good for technical drawing or not.
I would be grateful if you could send me some link of where to buy or just give general advice.

You don't need expensive materials to do good work. I use our local art store--their disposeable technical pens are in the range of $1.50 - $2.99 and have different line widths. Look for waterproof -- do a line on a piece of paper, make your finger wet and drag it across the line. If it's waterproof it won't smear.
Brands I use ar Uniball Vision fine point, Pilot Precise V5 Extra Fine and one or two others in the under $3 category. The Micron pens are nice but they have only about half the ink in them that the others do and their ink is not as black. If you do a search for Ferret Tarot and look at the images, they were all done with these two types of pens I listed.
Standard technical pens like Rapidograph are nice, however they ALWAYS clog and they're a pain in the butt to get working again. I switched over to regular art pens when they started putting out different line widths. They're far cheaper.

Don't use gel pens, they fade and the ink can smear badly, stick with a BLACK ink, not any of the colored inks, when getting pens.

You're looking for a drawing pen, not a ballpoint or gel pen or marker (felt tip) pen.
Even if it says 'permanent ink' don't erase over it till the ink has a chance to dry 24 hours. That way you're not lifting up any of the black ink by accident.
