Sticks Vibrant Colors
How can i pull off bright makeup?
I see girls at school and on youtube with such bright eye makuep. like yellow, and blue, and purple.
Idk how to pull it off. it seems that whenever i try to copy it it just looks bleh. Usually i just stick with a nutral shimmer on my lids and then black or brown eyeliner and mascara. How can i start using more vibrant colors without going to school looking like a clown?
The trick is to make sure you're just putting it on your eyelids. If you start going too far up to the brow, then you're in clown territory. If you still find that doesn't work, then try using the color as a sort of eyeliner or just putting it in the corners of your eyes. I've also seen it where you can sweep a more neutral color, like gold, along the lash line, in the corner, then on the brow bone and put the bright color in the section left on the eyelid. And if you're doing a bright eye, make sure you wear mascara, colorful eyes with no mascara just screams incomplete. Also, I would suggest not going too bold with your blush or lipstick when using bright colors on the eyes. This is gonna sound kinda sucky, but sometimes the best thing to do is to just experiment and play around with your makeup. What works for one girl with features similar to yours, may not work for you. That doesn't mean give up on wearing bright makeup, it's just a matter of figuring out what works best for you. I have this bright teal eye shadow, it must have sat in my case for a month until I figured out how to wear it. But I would just keep playing around until I liked what I did.
