Prismacolor Marker
Does anyone color with prismacolor markers?
I'm curious as to what paper I should use, I know you need something that wont bleed. Can anyone help me? I don't know which is best for prismacolors unique markers. Bienfang Graphics 360 Marker Paper, or Canson Pro-Layout Marker Pad, or Copic Alcohol Marker Pads, or something else that I have not seen. Can someone please help?
Strathmore 500 Bristol board, at least 2 ply thickness, with a vellum finish. It's pretty much the industry standard for cartooning, and because it's 100% cotton, it takes all kinds of media without bleed-through. I've used it for the past 20 years for professional cartooning, and the Prismacolor markers love it. It also comes in plate finish, but the markers tend to be a bit more streaky. The vellum finish allows for a more uniform field of color. It's expensive stuff, but you can usually get a good price on it at Utrecht.com. You might also be able to order some from a local drafting or art supply store.
