Are Copic Markers expensive?
Are there any other markers or art supplies that would be good for the beginning art enthusiast? I like drawing sketches of people and use mostly ball point pens, #2HB pencils, and those double headed red and blue pencils.
I'm not great or anything, but I'm better than the average person. I'm not TOO serious about it.
Yes, unfortunately, they're VERY expensive. So much so that it makes me want to cry. You CAN get discounts of like $150 from Manga University (google it) but I'm in England and I have no idea how much that is. They cost like $6 per pen. *cries*
But, I think I may have your saviour! 
Letraset Promarker. They're twin tip pens and have bold colour. They're not as expensive as Copics, but they're not cheap like felt tips. (D': ) Also, if you don't colour in the whole area at once, say do half and go back later, it leaves an ugly line where you stopped and it won't go away (photoshop is a life saver)
Try just using high quality felt tips to start with. Also, about the ball point pens... *screams* NOOO, use an outliner pen if you're outlining! They're not expensive at all and they're not annoying like ball points! Unless you want that effect... *pouts*
